(TUSCALOOSA, Ala.) The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa will host an exhibit of works by Dan Rountree March 4-25, 2022 in The Arts Council Gallery at the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center. Opening on March 4 during the First Friday Art Walk from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., the exhibit will be titled “Journeys” and will consist of works in oil and watercolor.
Also featured that evening will be a lantern workshop presented by Flow Tuscaloosa in the Black Box Theatre from 5-7 p.m. Workshop participants will work with artists to build lanterns that connect to the history and ecology of the Black Warrior River watershed. In May, the group will gather with their lanterns for a parade down the Riverwalk.
