The Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center (CAC) is a hub for the arts in Tuscaloosa, managed and maintained by The Arts Council. The CAC houses the Alabama Power Grand Hall, perfect for weddings and private event rentals, and The Rotary Club of Tuscaloosa Black Box Theatre, which provides a location for performances including family programming and educational opportunities in an intimate setting.
Two galleries featuring rotating exhibits include The Arts Council Gallery and a second space rented by The University of Alabama. Offices in the building are occupied by the Alabama Blues Project, Tuscaloosa Symphony, and The Arts Council.

Rental information
The Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center is a multi-use facility with The Rotary Club of Tuscaloosa Black Box Theatre, Alabama Power Grand Hall and catering kitchen for rent. The facility also houses two gallery spaces and offices that are not included in rentals.

The venue is ideal for wedding ceremonies and receptions, corporate meetings, lectures, poetry readings, parties, recitals, workshops, performances, fundraisers- any special event! The Black Box Theatre space is the same size as the Bama Theatre stage making it perfect rehearsal space for theatre performances or room for a band and dance floor.
