Syncopated Ladies to Perform, Teach, and Lead Empowerment Camp at the Bama Theatre Oct. 11

Syncopated Ladies

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa will present Chloé Arnold’s Syncopated Ladies on , at at the Historic Bama Theatre in downtown Tuscaloosa.

Created by Emmy-nominated choreographer and tap dancer Chloé Arnold, the Syncopated Ladies are an all-female tap dance band celebrated worldwide for their fierce rhythms, innovative style, and empowering artistry. Blending traditional tap with contemporary music and culture, the group has earned praise from icons like Beyoncé and captivated audiences on international stages and screens.

In addition to the evening performance, the Syncopated Ladies will host a series of special events throughout the day, designed to engage, inspire, and empower the community.


Tap Masterclass Series

Date:

  • Class 1 – Beginner: 4:30–5:30 p.m.
  • Class 2 – Intermediate: 5:30–6:30 p.m.
  • Class 3 – Advanced: 6:30–7:30 p.m.

During these workshops, participants will learn choreography that will be showcased in the opening of Chloé Arnold’s Syncopated Ladies LIVE! performance that evening. Classes are open to dancers of all ages. Costume selections for participating dancers will be determined by Chloé Arnold during the workshop.

After the workshops: Educational talkback, interactive Q&A, and an open tap jam for all levels and ages.


Empowerment Camp

Date & Time:

An uplifting experience that combines dance with personal growth and goal-setting. Open to participants of all ages, the camp is designed to inspire confidence, creativity, and resilience both on and off the dance floor.

Registration includes: the More Than Moves Guided Journal (a $35 value) to help participants continue their empowerment journey beyond the event.
