West Juried Art Show Entrance Fee

The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa is sponsoring its annual juried show for West Alabama artists. A $35 entry fee entitles any West Alabama artist to submit up to three works for judging. Only original works by artists living in eligible counties are accepted.
Entrance Fee

Eligible Counties:

Bibb, Dallas, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, Perry, Shelby, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, and Walker Counties

Note: Entries must not have been previously entered in a West Alabama Juried Art Show.

    Submit digital images and application via email, pay fee
  • Dec 8 – 16
    First round judging and notification
  • Jan 6 – 8
    Deliver accepted works to DWCAC (9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)
  • Jan 12 – 16
    Installation and hanging
  • Jan 20
    Exhibition opens (Mon-Fri, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
  • Feb 6
    First Friday and awards presentation (5:30 p.m.)
  • Feb 20
    Final day of exhibit

Submission Requirements

Media: All two- and three-dimensional media accepted

Size limits: Maximum 5.5 feet × 5.5 feet, 50 pounds

Email completed form and digital images to competitions@tuscarts.org from November 17–December 5, 2025.

Image requirements: JPG format, max 2MB. Name files with piece titles. Include title, dimensions, description, and price for each piece.

Payment:

  • Online: $35 + $2.50 convenience fee
  • Check: $35, due by Dec 16 (Arts Council of Tuscaloosa, P.O. Box 1117, Tuscaloosa, AL 35403)

Artwork Preparation

Two-dimensional works must be framed and ready to hang with secure wire attachment. Works delivered unframed will be disqualified.

Not acceptable: Loose wires, saw tooth brackets, or other hangers will result in rejection.

Label works on back upper right corner. No class or workshop pieces accepted. All works must have titles ("Untitled" not acceptable).

Additional Information

Insurance: All works insured while in Arts Council custody

Sales: Works may be priced for sale. Buyers referred to artist. No commission charged.

Pickup: February 23-24. Works not collected within one month donated to charity.

Publicity: Arts Council may use images for promotional purposes
