Bama Art House Film Series Announces 2026–2027 Lineup at The Historic Bama Theatre
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Bama Art House Film Series returns for the 2026–2027 season at the Historic Bama Theatre, featuring a diverse lineup of classic films, family favorites, blockbuster hits and seasonal screenings designed to engage audiences of all ages.
Individual tickets for all Bama Art House Film Series screenings are available at the base rates of $10 for adults, $9 for students and seniors ages 65 and older, and $8 for Arts Council Board Members and Tuscaloosa County employees.
BAH Summer Movie Punch Cards are also available. Guests may purchase a Summer Movie Punch Card for $70 and enjoy access to any 10 screenings through July 31. Punch cards are available for pickup at the box office.
Popcorn lovers can add unlimited popcorn to their punch card for $15 and snack all summer long.
The summer season kicks off in June with the Bama Blockbuster Series at 7 p.m., Marvel Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and Morning Movies at 10 a.m. The lineup includes beloved titles such as Jumanji on June 2, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off on June 9, Shrek on June 10 and Bring It On on June 16.
Superhero fans can enjoy a slate of Marvel films including Iron Man on June 5, Captain America: The Winter Soldier on June 19, Guardians of the Galaxy on June 26 and Captain America: Civil War on July 10.
Family-friendly selections such as Shrek, Chicken Little, The Lorax and Trolls provide entertainment options for younger audiences. Child tickets for family films will be $5.
Additional summer highlights include Saving Private Ryan, Jaws, Coming to America, Black Panther and The Outsiders, offering a mix of action, comedy, drama and nostalgia.
The series continues into the fall with the Fright Films horror lineup in October, featuring Get Out on Oct. 6, Scooby-Doo on Oct. 13, Insidious on Oct. 20 and The Conjuring on Oct. 27.
During the holiday season, the Seasons Screenings series will bring festive favorites to the big screen, including Elf on Dec. 15, Last Holiday on Dec. 17, Die Hard on Dec. 21 and The Polar Express on Dec. 23.
In addition to tickets for The Polar Express, guests will have the opportunity to purchase a “Golden Ticket” to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus during the December screening.
The lineup concludes in February with the “Be My Bamatine” Valentine’s Series, showcasing romantic comedies such as Pretty Woman on Feb. 2 and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days on Feb. 22.
