Stars of the Arts Council Campaign
DonateWhen you donate to The Stars of The Arts Council campaign, you are investing in the future of arts and culture in Tuscaloosa County. Your contribution directly supports the work of The Arts and Humanities Council of Tuscaloosa County, Inc.
Donors may choose to direct their gift to one or all of the following areas:
The Historic Bama Theatre
- TuscArts OnStage season
- Restoration and renovations for the historic space
Arts Education in Tuscaloosa County
- Visual arts, music, theater, dance, and creative writing instruction
- Artist residencies in local schools
- Transportation assistance for student field trips and performances
The Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center
- Ongoing maintenance of the historic building
- Workshops, classes, and hands-on learning experiences
If you would like your donation restricted to one of these areas, please indicate your designation in the notes section when making your gift. Gifts without a designation will be used where they are needed most to support the mission of The Arts and Humanities Council of Tuscaloosa County, Inc.
Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. Donors who contribute $100 or more will receive a personalized commemorative star displayed in the Greensboro Room at The Historic Bama Theatre.
Each star includes:
- Donor name (as listed on the donation)
- Fiscal year in which the donation was received
All qualifying gifts received June 1 – November 30 will be installed in January.
All qualifying gifts received December 1 – May 31 will be installed in July.
Stars remain on display for two years and may be picked up by donors following the completion of their display period. Returning donors will receive a new commemorative star for each qualifying fiscal year donation.
Star Tiers
- Tier 1 – White Star – $100 – $249.99
- Tier 2 – Slate Gray Star – $250 – $499.99
- Tier 3 – Roll Tide Red Star – $500 – $999.99
- Tier 4 – Curtain Red Star – $1,000 – $4,999.99
- Tier 5 – True Black Star – $5,000+
