TWENTY-SIX ORGANIZATIONS NOW FEATURED AT “COMMUNITY ARTS CONVERSATIONS”

(Tuscaloosa, AL)  Representatives from local arts and cultural organizations will be gathered at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 for “Community Arts Conversations.”  Twenty-six groups will be present from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., offering both information and promotional items to the public during this free event.

Organized by The Arts Council, the goal of the event is introduce local cultural organizations to the public and provide information about them and their staff on a personal level.   Citizens might be familiar with most of the groups, but never have the chance to meet the performers or administrators and discuss their craft and contribution to the community face to face.  All groups will be offering a creative display such as demonstrations by potter Jerry Brown (Northwest AL Arts Council, Hamilton, AL) and an appearance by Ludwig van Beethoven (courtesy of the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra).  Discounted pricing for upcoming events will also be offered by individual groups according to their specific activities, and tours of the Amphitheater will also be available to patrons during the event.
