THE ARTS COUNCIL OF TUSCALOOSA CALLS FOR CORPORATE SPONSORS
(Tuscaloosa, Ala.) The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa is offering corporations, families and individuals the opportunity to become contributing members of the organization. The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa general fund finances all maintenance, restoration and operating costs for the historic Bama Theatre and the newly renovated Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center as well as partial staffing for both venues.
A contribution, whether corporate or family, directly translates to historic preservation and the revitalization of Downtown Tuscaloosa and the presentation of unique, educational programming for the students and citizens of Tuscaloosa County and West Alabama.

The Arts Council is establishing a fundraiser which will coincide with the annual sponsorship drive. The Arts Council Fun(d) Brunch will take place at the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center on Aug. 29, 2015 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and will honor corporate and individual members. The goal of the brunch is to raise $20,000 from sponsorship and ticket sales for The Arts Council General Fund.
One ticket ($40) includes brunch by A Cutting Edge Caterers plus 2 drink tickets at the bloody mary/mimosa bar included for patrons 21 and over. Tickets can be purchased online at brownpapertickets.com or by calling 758-5195, x7 and paying by check. Tickets are pre-sale only with a deadline of Aug. 24.
Live music will be performed by The Cavell Trio, a faculty woodwind trio based at UA, from 10 a.m. until noon, and The Voodoo Saints, Tuscaloosa’s own New Orleans style jazz ensemble, from noon until 2 p.m.
The Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center is located at 620 Greensboro Avenue in Downtown Tuscaloosa.
