THE ARTS COUNCIL ANNOUNCES EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING FOR 2014 – 2015
(Tuscaloosa, Ala.) The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa is now presenting its lineup of educational outreach programming for 2014 – 2015. Bama Fanfare and Fanfare Caravans both feature professional theatrical productions and dance while the Spectra program brings visual and performing artists to classrooms.

Bama Fanfare is a series of colorful and dynamic productions which include music, dance and theatre, all taking place at the historic Bama Theatre. These professional groups are known for quality performances which are both entertaining and educational. Tickets are $5 each with showtimes at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Appropriate ages are noted for each production, ranging from K – 12.

Fanfare Caravans are performances which take place within the school for the student body (grades pre K – 2; limit 300 students) and usually involve audience participation. Caravan performances are $750 per show, and showtimes are 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Spectra features 30 different in-school arts activities taught by skilled professionals that allow student involvement in visual arts and crafts, music, dance and acting.
