“LAURA INGALLS WILDER” AT THE BAMA THEATRE

(Tuscaloosa) The Arts Council will present two performances of Laura Ingalls Wilder on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the Bama Theatre.  The first show in the 2011 – 2012 Bama Fanfare educational series, the performances are appropriate for grades 2 through 6 and will last approximately one hour. 

A production of ArtsPower, Laura Ingalls Wilder is a musical adaptation of the life story of one of America’s most beloved authors.  Facing obstacles such as scarlet fever and eviction from their land, the pioneering spirit and close relationship of Ingalls and her family are tested but never broken.  Curriculum connections include family relationships, history, literature and language.

Admission is $5 per ticket.  To reserve tickets for their classroom to attend, teachers should contact Sharron Rudowski, Director of Educational Programs, at 205-758-5195, x4 or at education@tuscarts.org.  Parents of homeschooled students can also reserve tickets.
