2019 DOUBLE EXPOSURE PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION JUNIOR DIVISION WINNERS ANNOUNCED

(TUSCALOOSA, Ala.) The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa is pleased to announce the Junior Division winners of the 2019 Double Exposure Juried Photography competition. The event was open to photographers ages 12-17 from the state of Alabama only.

Artists were allowed to enter up to three works and any photographic media was accepted. Tuscaloosa photographer Robert Sutton served as the judge.

Winners:
$250 Best of Show: Elizabeth Patterson for “The Chase”

$125 Cash Awards:
Emily Muller for “Rust and Tin”
Amrita Lakhanpal for “The Green Woman” Amanda Grate for “Beans”
Elizabeth Patterson for “Hidden Figures”

Honorable Mentions
Gracie Sullivan for “Scattered Light”
Aaron Swiney for “The Introvert”

The exhibit will be open to the public Jan. 22-Feb. 10 at the Bama Theatre’s Junior League Gallery and will end with a closing reception and awards ceremony on Feb. 10 from 2-3 p.m. The Gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m.-noon and 1 p.m.-4 p.m. and also during Bama Theatre events. Enter through the PARA Building, located adjacent to the theatre, during daytime hours.
