Brushes and Blooms: Watercolor Painting with Abi Brewer

Please join us for a watercolor workshop sponsored by The Arts Council with Abi Brewer on Thursday, June 20th from 6 to 8 pm! 
Abi often draws upon experiences from her past to create her paintings. Whether it’s fairytales she grew up with, Chinese traditions her mother tenderly passed down, or reflections on her experiences as a classical ballet dancer, she references pieces of herself through her whimsical portrayals of nature, culture, and movement. She calls herself a mixed media painter because she can never choose just one painting medium—she loves them all! Instead, she is constantly inspired by the different combinations of media she uses such as watercolor, fabric, oil, resin, and gold leaf. Through these media, she hopes to create dynamic and textural pieces that reflect the dynamic experiences she has been blessed to have.
