Advanced Stained Glass

Advanced Stained Glass will teach techniques that increase the participant’s knowledge in designing & cutting zinc frames. This class will also teach more technical cutting & soldering techniques. Tool technique and safety will also be taught. Participants will the have opportunity to chose a more robust pattern to make, and they will discuss how to repair broken glass. Polishing & presentation will also be discussed. Each participant will leave with a complete stained glass panel.
Advanced Stained Glass requires some experience with the Tiffany style (copper foil) technique. Basic knowledge of foiling, soldering & cutting glass is required.
Most supplies are included, but students will need to provide (a specific list will be emailed to participants):
-Solder
-Glass
-Safety Glasses; For safety, all students are required to wear eye protection and closed toe shoes.
-Zinc Came (available from the instructor)
