“COURAGE IS CREATIVITY” EXHIBIT WILL BE PRESENTED
AT THE JUNIOR LEAGUE GALLERY
(Tuscaloosa, Ala.) The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa will present the “Courage is Creativity” exhibit at the Bama Theatre’s Junior League Gallery Nov. 14-Dec. 10, 2019. A public reception will be held Nov. 17 from 2-3:30 p.m. in the gallery.
The exhibit will feature the recent work of visual art students from the Tuscaloosa City Schools attending the Paul W. Bryant High School and Tuscaloosa Fine Arts Academy in grades 9-12.
Paul W. Bryant High School emphasizes a collaborative approach to providing all their students with a highly effective educational experience, and their award-winning Band, Drama, Art and Choral Programs play an important role in this process. Tuscaloosa Fine Arts Academy provides a four-year program of study for students considering college and career pathways in fine arts. Certified specialists in Dance, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts provide hands-on guidance for students to achieve excellence and literacy in their chosen craft through performance, production and presentation. Community artists, arts professionals and arts organizations reinforce and augment the experiences provided by the certified specialists.
Gallery hours are Mon.-Fri. from 9 a.m.-noon & 1 p.m.-4 p.m. The Bama Theatre is located at 600 Greensboro Ave. in downtown Tuscaloosa with gallery access through the PARA Building adjacent to the theatre.
