BAMA ART HOUSE FILM SERIES FALL 2017 BEGINS AUGUST 22
(Tuscaloosa, Ala.) The Bama Art House Film Series Fall 2017 will present six screenings with the first scheduled for August 22. A program of The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa, this series will feature drama, comedy, action and a documentary. The lineup will conclude with the Manhattan Short Film Festival. Screenings will take place at the Bama Theatre on Tuesday nights at 7:30 p.m. with the box office opening at 6:30 p.m. and doors at 6:45 p.m.
Discount Punchcard Tickets ($60) will be available at the door prior to screenings and will be good for any 10 Bama Art House films. Single Tickets will be priced at $8 general, $7 seniors & students and $6 Arts Council members, also available at the door.

September 26: Manhattan Short Film Festival (one night only)
The final screening, the Manhattan Short Film Festival, will be presented in cities across six continents for patrons to view and vote on ten films by the finalists in this annual competition. Audience members in each venue will be handed a voting card upon entering each cinema that will allow them to cast their ballot for best film. Votes will be sent to MSFF headquarters where the winner will be announced in October, 2017. All genres will be represented.
The mission of the Bama Art House series is to bring current and contemporary independent film to West Alabama, transforming the historic Bama Theatre into a cinematic art house.
The Bama Theatre is located at 600 Greensboro Avenue in Downtown Tuscaloosa.
