 BAMA ART HOUSE BONUS FILMS WILL SCREEN IN OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER

(Tuscaloosa, Ala.) Two bonus films have been added to the lineup in the Bama Art House Film Series Summer 2015. “Western” will be screened on Oct. 27 and “Grandma” on Nov. 3. Screenings will take place at the Bama Theatre on Tuesday nights at 7:30 p.m. with the box office opening at 6:30 p.m. and doors at 6:45 p.m.

Both films were released in 2015 with “Western” (documentary about Eagle Pass, Texas from the producer of “Beasts of the Southern Wild”) winning the Special Jury Prize and nominated for the Grand Jury Prize for a documentary film at the Sundance Festival.

“Grandma” (comedy starring Lily Tomlin and Julia Garner) will be sponsored by Sunheart Metalworks, located at 505 Main Ave. in Downtown Northport at the Kentuck Center’s courtyard.

Discount Punchcard Tickets ($60) will be available at the door prior to screenings and will be good for any 10 Bama Art House films. Single Tickets will be priced at $8 general, $7 seniors & students and $6 Arts Council members. The mission of the Bama Art House series is to bring current and contemporary independent film to West Alabama, transforming the historic Bama Theatre into a cinematic art house.
