SUMMER SHINDIG BACK AT THE BAMA THEATRE JULY 31 AND AUGUST 1

(Tuscaloosa, Ala.) Summer Shindig III will be bringing great acoustic and electric music to the audiences of West Alabama from the stage of the Bama Theatre. The family friendly concerts featuring local and nationally known ensembles will take place on Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1, 2015 with doors opening at 6 p.m. and performances at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $10 per night or $15 for a weekend pass available online and at the door. Artist information and a link to purchase tickets prior to the event are available at tuscaloosashindig.com.

The series is sponsored by Druid City Brewing Company​, The Left Hand Soap Company​ and The Arts Council - Bama Theatre - Cultural Arts Center​.

Friday, July 31, 2015: Summer Shindig III, Night 1 will feature:

  • Blaine Duncan- His original songs feature themes about Southern life and heartbroken weariness
  • The Bear- A collaboration between singer-songwriter spouses Louisa Murray and Nathan Pitts
  • Doc Dailey- His sound has been described as Americana, Indie-Folk, and Gritty Southern Pop
  • Looksy- Indie rock and roll from a Tuscaloosa band featuring Daniel Ingram, Rob Keating, John Laing and Kyle Posten

Saturday, August 1, 2015: Summer Shindig III, Night 2 will feature:

  • Amy McCarley- Classically trained guitarist performing alternative folk/country
  • The Parkers- Five current and former Atlanta based musicians performing originals and covers featuring David Allgood, Mike Orlin, Joey Dukes, Hank Ruffin and Sheri Dresser
  • Walter Parks- Former guitarist for Richie Havens influenced by jazz pianists and steel guitar players
  • The Mulligan Brothers- A blend of alt-country, blues and folk featuring Ross Newell, Gram Rea, Ben Leininger and Greg DeLuca
