BAMA ART HOUSE SUMMER FILM SERIES BEGINS JUNE 5

(Tuscaloosa)  The Bama Art House Summer Film Series will begin on June 5, 2012 and will feature eight films.  A program of The Arts Council, this exciting series represents the organization’s goals to bring new and unique film to the West Alabama area.  Screenings will take place on Tuesday nights at 7:30 p.m. with the box office opening at 6:30 p.m. and doors at 6:45 p.m. 

Discounted complete series subscription tickets are available for purchase at bamatheatre.org/bamaarthouse.php ($40 - available for pickup at the box office prior to screenings).  Both series subscription tickets and individual tickets ($7 general/$6 students and seniors/$5 Arts Council members) will be available for purchase at the Bama box office prior to screenings. Turn Me On, Dammit! will be sponsored by The Left Hand Soap Co. (www.thelefthand.net).

Bama Theatre T-Shirts are now available in two exciting designs for $20 each.  Patrons can visit www.wix.com/market219/bama_theatre to order their preferred version.  Shirts will be available for purchase in person at the Bama as of June 12.

The mission of the Bama Art House series is to bring current and contemporary independent film to West Alabama, transforming the historic Bama Theatre into a cinematic art house.  The Bama Theatre is located at 600 Greensboro Avenue in downtown Tuscaloosa.
